The world’s first commercial hypersonic passenger plane is powered entirely by hydrogen. It can carry up to 25 passengers and can travel up to 10,000 km. The aircraft uses a combination of turbojet and ramjet engines to achieve a speed that is five times faster than the sound. This makes it more than twice as fast as the Concorde. With this speed, the Destinus-S can transport passengers from Paris to New York in just 1.5 hours. Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to start between 2032 and 2035.
