Hornet interceptor launched from Spanish Navy frigate

Destinus, in collaboration with the Spanish Navy, has successfully demonstrated the launch of a Hornet Block 1 interceptor from the F-81 Santa María frigate.

The test showcased a containerised naval deployment concept for maritime air defence, highlighting how rapidly deployable interceptor systems can be integrated aboard existing naval platforms. The demonstration explored new approaches to enhancing the protection of naval assets against evolving aerial threats.
